Kamagu's Farm-Style Homestead FAQ
A 4×4 vehicle is not needed to access Kamagu Homestead. The homestead is located off the national N1 highway. However, it is important to note that the access road leading from the N1 to the main house is a gravel / dirt road and low-lying cars are not advised.

Yes, Kamagu Homestead has uncapped wifi available for all guests.
Yes, Kamagu Homestead has electricity and is fully equipped with electrical outlets, plug points and electrical lighting throughout the house.
Kamagu Homestead sleeps up to 17 guests (maximum of 9 adults and 8 children).
No, smoking is not permitted at Kamagu Homestead.

Kamagu has 7 bedrooms:
- 1x twin-bed room.
- 3x double-bed rooms.

No, the swimming pool at Kamagu is not heated.
Guests will receive one bundle of firewood included in their stay. For additional firewood is available at R25 per bag / per bundle (approximately 10 pieces of wood).
Please contact us via email to order or arrange any additional firewood bundles prior to your visit.
Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
No, Kamagu is not pet-friendly. Pets (dogs, cats and other domesticated animals) are not permitted on the farmstead.
Please note: Kamagu homestead is a working farm and livestock, staff and native wildlife are present within the grounds. For the safety of guests, pets, farm animals and staff, we ask that you do not bring your pets to Kamagu.
Yes, guests are encouraged to forage from Kamagu’s vegetables gardens, herb gardens, chicken coop and fruit orchards. However, please note that the produce grown at the farm is for on-site use and consumption only.
The wildlife at Kamagu homestead (eland, ostriches, springbok, hartebeest) are wild animals. For the safety of the animals and all guests, we ask that you please maintain a respectful distance and NOT touch or interact with the wildlife.
Guests are welcome to feed and interact with the farm animals on site: bunny rabbits, goats, chickens, geese and sheep. However, all farm animal interactions and livestock encounters are at the guests own risk. Please note: children must be supervised at all times.
